It's been a 40 year dream of mine to be a shopkeeper. It's captivated my imagination for as long as I can remember! So when the opportunity came along to open a tea room / gift shop, I jumped at the chance.
For Lila Huggins, the concepts of tea and family are inextricably intertwined. She and her two lovely daughters, Lisa Donner and Carrie Lauth and her eight grand children have often staged spur-of-the-moment tea parties. These are magical moments that seemed to sprinkle us with tender love and security. Those simple, spontaneous teas with my family are precious moments forever captured in my heart, states Lila.
Now she's helping other families create such special memories at Miss Lila's Tea Room, located at 110 West Broad Street, in the heart of downtown Fairburn, GA Lila's concept of a tea party is distinctly old fashioned, from her centerpieces to the inclusion of Victorian party games. In her etiquette classes especially designed for children age 3 to 12 entitled Hospitali-tea she teaches the importance of making introductions and writing thank you notes.
Should you be interested in hosting a tea party at Miss Lila's Tea Room she will supply the refreshments as well as provide the invitations and keepsakes that will truly delight your company. She also provides vintage dresses, gloves, fans and hats. Her tea parties are intended for those with a sincere appreciation for timeless beauty and grace.
Come by and share a cuppa tea with and be inspired by the joyous spirit of a woman who dared to follow where her dream led her.
